Right there with ya on Coldplay---Rush Of Blood To The Head remains one of my fav albums of the last 10 years.

Here's another I raved about here before---Old Crow Medicine Show. Their first 2 albums have old-time string band stuff---bluegrassy best describes it to most. Their last 3 albums have many songs written by the band, who all have their own strengths. The most recent album--Tennessee Pusher--has good songs on it; it was produced by Don Was. The earlier albums have an edge though that this one doesn't. All of it is worth a listen though.
